Blackburn have rejected a bid from Tottenham for England winger David Bentley.
The move is believed to have been made on Thursday night but was turned down by the Ewood Park outfit, who have previously insisted they want Bentley to remain at the club.
Chairman John Williams has refused to state how much the bid was for, although it is not thought to have matched the one Aston Villa made for the player last month.
"We have had bids from two clubs," Williams told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
"One came in when Mark Hughes was manager, the other was fairly recent. They have both been rejected."
