Watford Camera Club's new season has kicked off with a jam packed programme.
Programme Secretary Jaffer Bhimji said: "Our programme is varied, with talks, lectures, practical work and competitions to take part in or just to watch".
He added: "In keeping with the times digital photography and use of computers forms an important part of what we do and our studio group is one of the favourites with those who love shooting portraits."
The Watford Observer's award winning photographer Simon de Trey-White showcased some of his news and documentry pictures at the opening meeting on Friday.
Jaffer continued: "On behalf of Watford camera Club's members, I would like to express my gratitude and thanks to Simon for such a splendid evening. I had number of telephone calls and e-mail messages telling me how much our members enjoyed looking at the fabulous images.
For those members who were unable to attend, I have sent them the link to this slideshow, which I enjoyed as much as the live show.
Anyone interested in any aspect of imaging is invited to attend two free meetings without any obligation.
Meetings are held on Friday evenings at 7.45 PM in the upstairs Lecture Hall at Watford Central Library, Hempstead Road.
