Boy badly hurt in hit-and-run
A CHILD has suffered serious head injuries after becoming a victim of a hit-and-run driver yesterday afternoon.
The ten-year-old boy was knocked off his bike in Brookmans park at 2.30pm and has been taken to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
A 20-year-old man from Hatfield was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been released on police bail.
Police are appealing for information about the incident which occurred in Mymms Drive.
Sergeant Pete Scholls said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who may have any information in relation to this incident.
"The car involved was a dark coloured vehicle, possibly a dark grey Peugeot with a smashed windscreen and other damage to the front of the car."
