A CURIOUS dog had to be rescued by firefighters yesterday after it got stuck trying to squeeze through a cat flap.
Welwyn Garden City firefighters were called to an address in Sweet Briar at around midday after it's owner raised the alarm.
The dog, believed to be a Bullmastif, managed to get his head firmly wedged inside the flap and couldn't struggle free.
Firefighters had to drill holes around the flap to release the dog, who became distressed but suffered no serious injury.
