Golf day for Grove House

A GOLF day is being held to raise money for charity.

Mike and Sarah Hodge will host the day to help raise money for Grove House on Thursday, May 22.

It is the fourth annual event at Aldwickbury Golf Club in Harpenden.

Entry will cost £100 per person, and teams will need to have four players.

Golfers will be able to enjoy 27 holes, lunch, dinner and an evening of entertainment.

There will also be a charity auction which includes a unique framed picture of the Battle of Britain which is signed by 21 pilots who took part in the encounter.

Mr Hodge said: "I donate to Grove House because cancer has affected people in my family and I think that it is a very good and worthwhile local cause. I'd also like to thank the people that have sponsored the holes: Deloittes, Taylor Walton, Vebra, John Curtis and Harpenden Building Society who have made this event possible."

In previous years Mr Hodge has raised around £21,000 and is looking to add to the grand total.
