A CELEBRATION of English music in St Albans this weekend will honour the memory of two composers.
A Tale of Two Anniversaries is this year's annual Christian Aid concert to commemorate the 150th anniversary of composer Ethel Smyth's birth and the 50th anniversary of Ralph Vaughan Williams' death.
The concert will also encompass the music of some international artists such as Tartini, Gershwin and Rogers and Hammerstein.
The free event is to be held at St Paul's Church, Hatfield Road, St Albans on Saturday, May 10 at 7.30pm.
