SPEEDY drivers were snapped by police in a speicla day-long operation in Wheathampstead.
Seven drivers were handed £60 fines and three points added to their license for breaking the speed limit along Marford Road, including a new driver who aleady had three points.
PC Andy Yuill, from the Harpenden Neighbourhood Team, said: “As local officers, PCSO Merritt and I are disappointed to see that motorists are continuing to speed along this stretch of road, especially during the school holidays with young people out and about.
“We will however continue to carry out speed enforcement at regular intervals, as requested by local residents - and promote road safety.”
