TALENTED young musicians wowed hundreds of spectators at the 3Style festival.
Organisers announced this week more than 650 people attended the festival at Batchwood Hall in St Albans last Sunday.
Arranged by the Hertfordshire Children's Trust Partnership, young people participated in every aspect of planning the event, from choice of bands to designing posters and a website.
Event organiser Jonathan Jack said he was bowled over by the amount of talent displayed.
He said: “It was just phenomenal. We had band members ranging from 13 years old to first year university students, and Emo Screamo to Heavy Metal and Punk Rock.
"But all of them, every single band, had such enormous enthusiasm and focus that shone through in their songs.”
On the day itself, a crew of youngsters helped run the proceedings, and demonstrated impressive skills that included handling all of the indoor stage lighting and actively assisting sound and stage technicians.
A total of 24 young bands from around Hertfordshire performed over two stages, and DJs entertained in their own dance hall.
During the event, youngsters consulted with their peers for their views on ‘Youth Matters’ key issues for the Children and Young People’s Plan.
