CELEBRITY chef Alan Coxon gave a display of his culinary talents in St Albans this afternoon.
Mr Coxon was showing off his skills in Pure Kitchens, a new showroom in Spencer Street.
The chef was showing his top tips and quirky knowledge, on such topics as the history of coffee beans and the use of sugar cane as the original Viagra.
He also brought a chilli so hot it can give blisters in the mouth, fortunately not used in the dishes he prepared this afternoon of parmesan tuiles and melting Manchego cheese and rice cakes.
Store owner Andrew Woodbridge said: "I am really pleased Alan has come to visit - it shows it is a really fine environment for a top chef."
