Minister visits his childhood home

FORMER Harpenden toddler Ben Bradshaw, now a government minister, opened a new children's centre in the town this morning.

Mr Bradshaw, Minister of State at the Department of Health, performed the honours at The Sure Start children's centre, located in a nursery in Holcroft Road, Batford.

The centre will offer a range of advice to parents on childcare, health and employment.
