LABOUR leader Roma Mills is philosophical about the loss of the party's three seats at the district council elections.
On a national level the Labour Party suffered heavy losses which was consistent with the votes cast in St Albans and Harpenden.
The party did not win a single seat in the district yesterday and only gained 12.6 per cent of last night's vote.
Councillor Mills said: "It's a blow for us.
"It's not about what we do locally it's about the public's view of central government and a wish to protest against national policies, and that's something we can't control."
