Help for migrants to learn the law
FOREIGN nationals settling in to the county will now be provided with an information leaflet about the law.
A newcomers guide to policing and the law in Hertfordshire' will be printed in Polish, Lithuanian, Bulgarian, Romanian and Czech, as well as English.
It offers advice on living and working in Hertfordshire, practical safety and essential information on the law, including stop and search powers, how to report a crime and acceptable behaviour.
Inspector Gary Atkinson, from the Constabulary's Diversity Unit, said: "The aim is to provide information to help make newcomers' first few months in the county more comfortable, safe and pleasant.
"The role of the police in this country may differ from that in their countries of origin and foreign nationals have the same rights to protection as British nationals."
The booklets will be handed out by Police Neighbourhood teams and left in community venues like Libraries and health centres as well as police stations.
Hertfordshire Constabulary produced the booklet after neighbouring forces launched the idea.

So all this time they thought that cashpoint crime, pick-pocketing, drug running, people trafficking, forced prostitution, criminal gangs, parking meter theft and eating wild swans was legal! - so that explains it!
I may sound slightly paranoid, but latest statistics do not lie!
Appologies to law abiding immigrants but we are all being let down and used by a large untouchable criminal element.
European union - humbug!
