Bricket Wood planning battle
AN APPEAL has been lodged against St Albans District Council's refusal of planning permission for the erection of five homes in Bricket Wood.
The council rejected an application by Jarvis Homes to demolish an existing property and replace it with five detached three bedroom homes with associated parking in Bucknalls Drive.
The application was refused because the development would damage the privacy of neighbouring properties and have an adverse impact on surrounding community services.
Copies of the planning application and appeal documents are available at the offices of the Director of Planning and Heritage, Civic Centre, St Albans. Residents can send written representations by Monday, April 28 to Secretary of State, The Planning Inspectorate, Room 3/12a, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol, BS1 6PN.
