Luxury products and a shiny new salon have marked the renovation of part of Stoke Park Club's spa area. The make-over, which includes a new reception area, salon, shop and nail bar was officially launched to members of the Stoke Poges club at an event last week.
A range of luxury brands have taken up residence in SPA SPC, which offers a wider range of treatments and services.
"Having seen the reception area and new salon area in its old guise, the renovations have brightened up the entrance, giving it a more modern and elegant look."
The brand ghd are probably most famous for their ceramic hair straighteners, which have become a must-have beauty accessory over the years. They have now branched out into spa treatments, and SPA SPC are one of the only places in the area to offer them to their clients.
Treatments are done in the spa area, rather than the salon, meaning you can relax even more by wearing a soft robe, and waiting in the calm atrium area.
There are a range of different ghd spa treatments to choose from, with each targeting a particular type of hair, or a particular problem. Clients can choose from an age defying treatment, emergency rescue - great for people who dye their hair and use hairdryers or straighteners regularly - daily defense treatment and a combination treatment for your hair and scalp. One of SPA SPC's therapists will help you choose which one is best for you.
After the half hour long experience, which really feels like you are treating your hair to something special, you can have a shampoo and blow dry in the new salon area, which has been tastefully decorated in brown and cream.
The salon was designed by Calder Moore, with the emphasis on "giving the area a facelift without losing any of the individual personality that SPA SPC possesses."
And it works. Having seen the reception area and new salon area in its old guise, the renovations have brightened up the entrance, giving it a more modern and elegant look.
As well as using ghd products - which are on sale - the salon uses Bumble and Bumble, which leave your hair smooth and silky. The salon also has a nail bar, which uses Jessica products for manicures and pedicures and make up using Bare Escentuals, so is perfect for finishing touches.
As well as introducing ghd products, SPA SPC has recently launched its own range of treatment-based products, which include body cream (the white chocolate one is especially delicious), face and body scrubs, masks and cleansers. They are available exclusively in SPC or at Fortnum and Mason in London, and Arnotts in Ireland.
