City make hay
 |
| Wasiu Akanni Sunday celebrates the opener against Hayes & Yeading on Monday with Ryan Frater. |
City boss Steve Castle could not hide his delight at Monday's 2-0 win over Hayes & Yeading.
"I've very pleased," said Castle whose side have now taken 13 points out of a possible 15. "It was a comprehensive win, which was good. It just goes to show how far we have come because we were absolutely devastated with Saturday's draw. We should have been three or four up at half-time and then got a kick up the backside late on.
"We could have gone into the game negatively, but we didn't and that's what I'm pleased about. We dug in against a very good team going forward.
"But we dealt with their threat and always looked like we were going to score at the other end. Had we sat off them then they could have caused us problems. But we shut the ball down, got some regains high up the pitch and then showed our quality."
